Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Van Driver role based in Shah Alam. The Van Driver is responsible for safely operating company vans to pick up, transport, and deliver parcels and documents to customers within assigned routes and schedules. Responsibilities include loading and unloading items, verifying delivery documentation, obtaining signatures or proof of delivery, and ensuring parcels are handled with care. The role also involves performing basic vehicle checks, reporting maintenance needs, and complying with all road safety and company policies. The Van Driver will interact with customers in a professional manner, provide updates to dispatch, and support efficient route planning to meet service standards.
Qualifications
- Valid driving license for vans/commercial vehicles and a clean driving record.
- Proven experience as a delivery driver, van driver, or similar logistics/transport role.
- Strong knowledge of local routes in and around Shah Alam and basic navigation skills (GPS/map reading).
- Ability to handle physical tasks, including lifting, carrying, loading, and unloading parcels safely.
- Reliable time management skills and ability to follow delivery schedules and instructions accurately.
- Professional, customer-focused communication and the ability to interact respectfully with diverse customers and colleagues.
- Basic record-keeping skills for delivery documents and familiarity with handheld devices or delivery apps is an advantage.
- Willingness to work on-site, follow safety and compliance procedures, and adhere to company policies and code of conduct.
- Secondary school education or equivalent; previous experience in courier, logistics, or transportation is an added advantage.
