My client is a leading global specialty insurance company, known for its comprehensive commercial risk solutions. They are seeking a Vendor Relationship Manager to join their dynamic APAC Operations team based in Malaysia.
You will play a key role in managing outsourced BPO relationships, providing critical oversight and governance of third-party vendors to ensure they meet stringent business requirements and SLAs.
Job responsibilities:
- Act as the primary relationship manager and single escalation point for vendor-related issues, developing performance tracking and corrective actions to drive service delivery.
- Provide oversight of SLA delivery, ensuring robust reporting, risk management, and compliance with regional regulations for outsourced services across APAC.
- Ensure BPO costs align with contractual terms via rigorous invoice reviews, and manage crucial documentation including SOWs and Change Orders.
- Oversee the transition of new work to outsourced partners and explore new outsourcing opportunities by leveraging the vendor's digital capabilities.
- Lead Business Continuity Planning and coordination with vendors, effectively managing potential outages given the time zone differences.
Job requirements:
- Deep knowledge of the BPO and outsourcing industry, particularly with Indian-based BPOs.
- Solid understanding of the insurance industry along with APAC regulatory requirements.
- Exceptional stakeholder management, influencing, and negotiating skills.
- Advanced communication, analytical, and numeracy skills with the proven ability to work independently with minimal guidance.
- Ability to promote change and actively contribute to the BPO playbook policies and procedures.
