AFED Digital is looking for a strategic and visionary Vice President, Energy Business to lead our growing footprint in the energy sector. This role is particularly focused on Upstream Data Management, and digital transformation across oil & gas, utilities, and renewable energy. As a key member of the leadership team, you will drive business growth, manage P&L responsibilities, and lead the delivery of innovative solutions that help energy companies harness the full value of their operational and subsurface data.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and grow AFED Digital's Energy Business, with a core focus on Upstream Data Management (subsurface, production, drilling, and operations data) and Project Management System
- Develop and implement strategic plans for growth in the oil & gas, utilities, and renewable energy sectors
- Oversee P&L, budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance for the energy division
- Cultivate strategic partnerships with upstream operators, NOCs, and IOCs to drive long-term digital initiatives
- Work closely with technical and delivery teams to define and deploy enterprise-grade data solutions (e.g., PPDM, Open Subsurface Data Universe, Upstream Data Management, National Data Repository System etc.)
- Drive business development and sales strategies that position AFED Digital as a leader in digital energy services
- Monitor regulatory trends, sustainability drivers, and emerging technologies to guide product and market strategy
- Steer global business expansion activities including working closely with country representatives, key account managers and channel partners
- Lead global technology partnership initiative for Energy Sector which includes Seismic Technology, Cloud & HPC, Earth Modeling as well as AI/ML deployment
Qualifications
- Strong track record in Upstream Data Management, with expertise in data governance, integration, and analytics for oil & gas
- 10+ years of experience in business development, consulting, or leadership roles within the energy sector
- Knowledge of subsurface data standards (e.g., PPDM, OSDU) and digital oilfield concepts is highly preferred
- Solid understanding of ERP, EPM, and cloud-based solutions in energy business operations
- Proven experience managing large teams and enterprise clients
- Financial acumen including budget management and P&L responsibility
- Bachelor's degree in Geosciences, Engineering, Energy Management, Business, or related field (MBA or advanced technical degree is a plus)
