We are now seeking a full-time Vice President - Head of Sales, Asia Pacific to join our team in GFS - Global Freight Services (An Affiliate of Li & Fung)

Duties and Responsibilities:

The Vice President, Sales (Asia Pacific) will lead GFS Global Freight Services regional commercial strategy, driving revenue growth and market share expansion across major Asia Pacific. This role carries both personal and team-based sales targets, overseeing key account acquisition, strategic partnerships, and the performance of regional sales teams across multiple markets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute the Asia regional business development strategy aligned with global corporate growth objectives, ensuring sustainable revenue expansion and market share gains across Ocean, Air, and Integrated Logistics solutions.
  • Own regional revenue and gross profit performance, delivering against individual and team sales targets while driving profitable growth, margin improvement, and balanced portfolio development.
  • Lead, inspire, and develop the regional sales organization, fostering a high-performance culture focused on accountability, solution selling, and continuous capability enhancement.
  • Drive strategic account acquisition, identifying, qualifying, and closing major new business opportunities across priority verticals including High-Value Retail, Industrial, FMCG, Technology, and other high-growth sectors.
  • Establish and maintain C-level customer relationships, strengthening executive engagement, long-term partnerships, and contract retention across key accounts.
  • Identify and develop new trade lanes and corridor opportunities and partner with Operations, Product, and Pricing teams to design competitive, value-driven logistics solutions tailored to complex customer requirements.
  • Leverage market intelligence and data analytics to anticipate industry trends, assess competitive positioning, and refine go-to-market strategies within the Asia region.
  • Champion disciplined sales governance, ensuring effective CRM utilization, robust pipeline management, accurate forecasting, and KPI-driven performance management.
  • Act as the regional brand ambassador, representing the organization at industry forums, trade associations, and key customer engagements to enhance market visibility and strategic positioning.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Supply Chain, or related field (MBA preferred).
  • Minimum 10–15 years of progressive sales and leadership experience in the freight forwarding or logistics industry.
  • Proven track record in achieving multimillion-dollar sales targets across multiple APAC markets.
  • Strong network of regional customers and industry contacts.
  • Excellent strategic thinking, negotiation, and people leadership skills.
  • Ability to travel frequently across the region.
  • Results-driven mindset with hands-on approach and entrepreneurial drive.

Performance Metrics:

  • Achievement of assigned revenue growth and gross profit targets (individual & regional).
  • Customer retention and new business acquisition rate.
  • Sales pipeline health and team productivity.
  • Strategic account penetration and trade lane performance.
