Job Title : Vice President – IT Strategy
Job Summary:
Establish and uphold a strategic IT framework and technical vision that is fully aligned with the organization's overall business roadmap and strategic objectives. This role entails the management and oversight of IT expenditures as well as the negotiation and administration of commercial agreements, ensuring cost-effectiveness and value. Additionally, will lead the change and release management by implementing standardized processes, minimizing disruptions, ensuring compliance, and driving improvements to optimize the change lifecycle in alignment with organizational goal.
Job Description:
- Strategic IT Framework Development - Design and implement a strategic IT framework that supports and aligns with the business roadmap.
- Technical Vision Leadership - Establish a clear technical vision that drives innovation and technology adoption within the organization.
- IT Expenditure Management - Oversee and manage IT budgets, ensuring expenditures align with strategic priorities and deliver value to the organization.
- Commercial Agreements Negotiation - Negotiate and administer contracts with vendors and service providers to secure favorable terms and achieve cost-effectiveness.
- Change Management Leadership - Lead the Change Management process, ensuring the successful implementation of changes with minimal disruption to operations.
- Release Management Oversight - Oversee Release Management processes, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of software and system updates.
- Standardized Process Implementation - Develop and implement standardized processes for Change and Release Management that comply with industry best practices.
- Compliance Assurance - Ensure all changes adhere to regulatory requirements and internal compliance policies, mitigating risks associated with IT changes.
- Continuous Improvement Initiatives - Drive continuous improvement efforts in Change and Release Management to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Stakeholder Collaboration - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and align IT initiatives with business needs.
- Performance Metrics Development - Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of IT strategies, expenditures, and change initiatives.
- Communication and Reporting - Communicate the IT strategy, budget status, and change management results to executive leadership and relevant stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science / Information Technology or equivalents
- At least 5-8 years working experience as IT Strategy or related areas
- Financial services / insurance industry experience preferred
- Strategic IT Alignment: Understanding of how to align IT frameworks and technical vision with overall business strategies and objectives.
- Financial Management: Knowledge of managing IT budgets, overseeing expenditures, and conducting cost-benefit analyses to ensure cost-effectiveness
- Change and Release Management: Familiarity with methodologies and best practices in change management to implement standardized processes and minimize disruption
- IT Governance Frameworks: Proficient in frameworks such as ITIL to establish effective IT governance and compliance protocols.
- Contract Negotiation: Skills in negotiating and administering commercial agreements with vendors to maximize value and ensure service levels.
- Process Optimization Tools: Experience with tools and methodologies that facilitate process optimization and improvement in change lifecycle management (e.g., Lean, Agile).
