Job Description

Job Purpose

To assist Head of Finance to manage the operation and reporting of finance function in ensuring smooth company's operation and performance.

Key Accountabilities

  1. To ensure accurate, timely and reliable financial data is captured in the system for monthly management accounts, financial analysis, cashflow forecasts, monthly projections and other reports as required by the Management.
  2. Work closely with the Finance Operations team to ensure the accuracy and timely processing of finance operations (Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and banking matters), monitor and analyze debtor recoverability and collections on a monthly basis, address issues promptly, and oversee payables and receivables aging to maintain healthy cash flow.
  3. Work closely with the Finance Reporting and external auditors to prepare year-end audit schedules and reports, ensuring completion within the given timeline for submission to the Board of Directors (BOD).
  4. To ensure that Company's year-end audit reports are submitted on time and comply with MFRS, the Companies Act 2016, and the Company's policies and procedures.
  5. Prepare and deliver accurate, comprehensive and timely reporting for the Board, and any ad-hoc reporting as required by Management.
  6. To prepare annual budgets, variance analysis and forecasts for the companies and timely submission to Group Budget for consolidation and BOD for approval.
  7. To ensure compliance with tax policies and regulatory requirements and to prepare information and analysis and liaise with Group Tax on any tax related matter and/or external parties for application for exemption, and audits.
  8. To ensure accuracy and timely e-Invoice submissions to LHDN on a monthly basis, as well as SST transactions and SST02 Return submissions to Kastam on bi-monthly basis
  9. Ensure effective business controllership and cost control management in the respective companies through adherence and compliance to the Company's regulatory risk management policies and standard operating procedures.
  10. Perform any other related assignments in facilitating and supporting the Finance Reporting and Operations teams as and when required by the Management.
  11. Liaise regularly with the Group Finance Division on reporting, tax and compliance matters.

Academic / Professional Qualifications

  • Minimum qualification Bachelor of accounting or equivalent.
  • Professional Accounting qualifications such as CA or ACCA & etc.

Years of Experience

Minimum 5-10 years working experience in accounting and/or Auditing and/or Management Accounting field is required.

Functional Competencies

  • Professional Accounting qualifications such as CA or ACCA & etc. A background in Audit Assurance & Reporting Compliance & etc. is required.
  • Excellent communication, able to work under pressure and meeting tight and multiple deadlines.
  • Excellent teamwork, positive attitude, having the correct initiatives and results driven.
  • Mature, responsible, resourceful, and able to perform with minimal supervision.

Technology Knowledge

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office primarily in Excel, Words and PowerPoint.
  • Good working knowledge and hands on experience in SAP.
