Vice President, Risk & Sustainability

Boustead Holdings Berhad is seeking an experienced and dynamic professional to lead the Group's Risk and Sustainability functions. This strategic role will drive the development of robust risk governance and sustainability frameworks, ensuring the Group remains resilient, responsible and aligned with global best practices.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the development and continuous enhancement of the Group's risk management, business continuity and sustainability frameworks, policies and procedures.

Ensure Operating Companies (OPCOs) align with the Group's risk appetite and ESG expectations.

Identify, assess and monitor key and emerging risks across the organisation, ensuring appropriate mitigation strategies are in place.

Maintain and strengthen the Group's risk reporting framework and centralised risk register.

Provide risk advisory support to investment and strategic teams on new ventures, investments and transactions.

Oversee risk due diligence processes for mergers, acquisitions and new investments.

Lead the implementation and coordination of the Group's Business Continuity Management (BCM) programme.

Drive the development and execution of the Group's ESG strategy in alignment with recognised frameworks such as GRI, SASB, TCFD and ISSB.

Integrate ESG considerations into investment and strategic decision-making processes.

Monitor global sustainability trends to support the Group's long-term positioning.

Prepare reports and insights for Senior Management and the Board Risk & Sustainability Committee.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Risk Management, Sustainability or related disciplines.

Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in risk management and/or sustainability roles, preferably within an investment holding company or diversified conglomerate.

Strong knowledge of risk frameworks (e.g. ISO 31000, COSO) and sustainability standards (e.g. GRI, SASB, TCFD, ISSB).

Proven ability to engage effectively with senior leadership, board members and key stakeholders.

Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills.
