We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our Group Strategy department under Group Strategy & Transformation division as a Vice President, Strategic Initiatives.

The Role

A successful candidate in this position will be responsible for driving the execution of the Bank's technology transformation agenda, ensuring all initiatives across core modernisation, cloud, data and AI are well-coordinated, properly sequenced and delivered to clear business outcomes.

While domain teams (e.g. IT, Data, AI) will deliver their respective initiatives, this role will act as the overall programme orchestrator, ensuring alignment, execution discipline, and successful delivery at the enterprise level.

Job Description

Establish and Drive Programme Execution

  • Define and implement the overall programme structure, governance, and delivery cadence
  • Translate strategic initiatives into a clear and executable roadmap, including sequencing of key initiatives
  • Ensure all workstreams operate with clear scope, timelines, ownership and deliverables

Coordinate Across Business and Technology Teams

  • Drive alignment across: business units, IT (including Cloud initiatives), Data & AI Teams
  • Ensure that all initiatives are integrated, aligned and not executed in silos

Manage Dependencies, Risks and Delivery Health

  • Maintain a clear view of cross-workstream dependencies and critical delivery paths
  • Proactively identify risks, issues and gaps, and drive timely resolution
  • Ensure escalation is done with clear options and recommendations

Oversee Vendors and Delivery Partners

  • Coordinate work delivered by external consultants and system integrators
  • Ensure delivery is consistent with:
  • agreed scope
  • timelines
  • quality expectations

Drive Programme Visibility and Decision-Making

  • Provide structured updates to senior management, including:
  • progress against plan
  • key risks and issues
  • decisions required
  • Ensure there is clear and consistent visibility of programme status at all times

Ensure Business Impact and Delivery Outcomes

  • Ensure that all initiatives under the respective pillar are linked to tangible business outcomes
  • Support prioritisation of initiatives based on impact, feasibility and sequencing
  • Drive accountability across teams to ensure outcomes are delivered

Job Requirements

Skills

  • Strong programme coordination and stakeholder management skills
  • Excellent organisational and multi-tasking capability
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good communication and presentation skills (including senior stakeholders)
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams and drive alignment across teams

Knowledge

  • General understanding of banking processes
  • Familiarity with Artificial Intelligence concept/deployment/methodologies/tools
  • Familiarity with project management tools and tracking methods
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Banking, or equivalent

Experience

  • 8–12 years of relevant experience in banking, consulting, or transformation
  • Experience in programme management, PMO, or cross-functional project coordination
  • Exposure to large-scale transformation or strategic initiatives preferred
