Role Description

The Video Editor Intern role is an on-site internship position based in WP. Kuala Lumpur. The intern will assist in editing and assembling video content for marketing, social media, and educational materials, ensuring that footage, audio, and graphics meet brand and quality standards. Daily tasks include organizing raw footage, trimming clips, applying transitions, synchronizing audio, and performing basic color correction. The intern will support the creation of motion graphics and visual assets to enhance storytelling, and collaborate with the marketing and content teams to refine concepts, meet deadlines, and adapt videos for different platforms. The role also involves maintaining an organized media library and proactively suggesting creative ideas to improve video engagement.

Qualifications

  • Strong foundation in video production, including camera operation basics and understanding of shot composition.
  • Proficiency in video editing tools and workflows, with skills in Video Editing and timeline management.
  • Ability to perform Video Color Grading and basic color correction to ensure visual consistency and quality.
  • Skills in Motion Graphics and Graphics creation to design engaging titles, overlays, and visual elements.
  • Familiarity with industry-standard software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, or similar tools.
  • Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to follow brand guidelines and project briefs.
  • Good communication skills and willingness to learn, take feedback, and collaborate in a multicultural environment.
  • Currently studying or recently graduated in Film, Multimedia, Design, Communications, or a related field is preferred.
