About the Role: The T-Shaped Creator
We're searching for a Video Content Producer & Strategist a rare hybrid who is as comfortable behind the camera as they are presenting a data-backed content roadmap.
This is a senior-level, hands-on role that requires you to bridge strategy, client service, and end-to-end video production. You'll lead content direction for diverse brands, manage day-to-day (BAU) content, and produce high-impact videos that meet specific business, branding, and campaign objectives.
Key Responsibilities: What You'll Achieve
Your role is split into three core pillars: Strategy, Production, and Client Leadership.
1. Content Strategy & Performance
- Translate client marketing briefs into actionable video concepts and campaign strategies.
- Design campaign storytelling, content funnels, messaging pillars, and platform-specific formats (TikTok, IG Reels, YouTube).
- Identify content opportunities by monitoring market trends, competitor insights, and audience behavior.
- Propose clear content roadmaps, set measurable KPIs, and craft compelling pitch decks with the strategy team.
2. End-to-End Video Production
- Lead Pre-Production: Ideate, script, storyboard, plan shot lists, and coordinate shoot logistics.
- Direct & Film: Lead or co-direct on-ground shoots, operating cameras, directing talents, and ensuring strong visual composition, lighting, and audio quality.
- High-Quality Post-Production: Edit videos with strong pacing and storytelling. Perform color correction, audio enhancement, and basic to intermediate motion graphics.
- Ensure Consistency: Establish and maintain a consistent visual and quality standard across all deliverables.
3. Client & Content Management
- Act as the Main Contact for all content-related client communications and feedback cycles.
- Manage BAU Content: Plan and schedule monthly content calendars, ensuring on-time publishing and brand consistency.
- Reporting & Optimization: Prepare monthly performance reports, tracking KPIs (engagement, retention, reach). Refine and optimize strategies based on data and audience insights.
Who We're Looking For (Must-Haves)
- Experience: 35 years in video production, content strategy, or a similar hybrid role (agency experience preferred).
- Platform Mastery: Strong working knowledge of content formats and performance drivers on TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube.
- Hands-On Skills: Proven, practical expertise in filming, directing, editing, and visual storytelling.
- Strategic Mindset: Ability to directly link creative decisions to marketing objectives and client goals.
- Communication: Comfortable managing clients, timelines, and multi-project workflows.
- Language: Excellent communication in English & Bahasa Malaysia (written and verbal).
Bonus Points (A Major Plus)
- Proven experience with BAU content management for major brands.
- Proficiency in motion graphics, advanced color grading, or professional photography.
- Mandarin proficiency (written/spoken).
- Comfortable traveling for shoots across the region.
