About The Asia Data Services Squad (DSS)
We are a Regional IT Enablement Team focus on bridging business needs with Data Governance and Management, Computer Vision, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), Governance and digital solutions across Asia. Our squad is tasked to support Sites in Malaysia, China, India, Vietnam, Singapore, Japan and Indonesia through awareness of the latest in-house solutions, requirements analysis, solutions discovery and adoption of authorized platforms and tools. We work closely with Global / Corporate Teams to drive scalable use cases, improve operational decision-making, and accelerate data-drive transformation. Through structured governance, stakeholder engagement, and capability building, the squad enables consistent delivery and value realization across sites.
Job Summary
Business System Analyst to act as a bridge between business stakeholders and IT teams. BSA is required to take ownership to identify business needs and translate them into technical requirements for development purposes. The selected individual plays a vital role in system implementations, communicating or identifying enhancements opportunities to always ensure that the solutions designed are in aligning with business objectives and fulfilling the needs of requester
Key Responsibilities:
- Independently analyze business needs and deliver solutions in an Agile environment.
- Lead requirements elicitation, documentation, and validation with stakeholders.
- Define system scope, objectives, acceptance criteria, and success metrics.
- Partner with Product Owners and Program Managers to manage and refine backlogs.
- Perform gap analysis, futurestate analysis, and risk assessments.
- Coordinate and lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with business SMEs.
- Serve as an escalation point for issue resolution and root cause analysis.
- Analyze and optimize business processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Translate complex business requirements into detailed functional specifications.
- Recommend system and workflow enhancements and present insights to stakeholders.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science or related field.
- Minimum of two (2) five (5) years of working experience, preferably in a Programmer / Business Analyst / Field Engineer/ Vision Engineer or similar role
- Proficiency in verbal and written English, Mandarin and Bahasa Melayu with good interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with BABOK (Business Analyst Body of Knowledge) / Project Management Framework / Agile Methodologies / SDLC principles
- Possesses IIBA / PMI-PBA / ITIL / CBAP Certifications will be a plus.
- Ability to understand complex business problems and translate it to IT language and vice versa.
