Reports to: Marketing and Admissions Manager

Job Summary: The Visual Communication Specialist is an entry-level role focused on executing the tactical day-to-day operations that support the school's visibility and growth. This individual works closely with the Marketing and Communications Manager to implement branding strategies and communicate the school's mission to both internal and external audiences. The role is ideal for a creative, detail-oriented professional looking to build a career in educational marketing through graphic design, content creation, social media management, and event support.

Key Responsibilities

1. Content Execution & Brand Alignment

  • Draft and design written and visual content for digital and print platforms, including social media, brochures, and internal newsletters.
  • Ensure all produced materials strictly adhere to the school's established tone, visual identity, and brand standards.

2. Social Media & Digital Maintenance

  • Monitor and manage the school's social media accounts, ensuring regular posting and timely engagement with the community.
  • Assist in the execution of digital advertising campaigns (e.g., Google Ads, social media ads) by preparing creative assets.

3. Website Management & Digital Updates

  • Maintain and update website content, ensuring that school news, event calendars, and program information are accurate and current.
  • Ensure brand consistency across all web pages, including the proper use of logos, typography, and visual assets.
  • Assist with basic SEO (Search Engine Optimization) tasks, such as updating meta descriptions and image alt-text, to improve the school's online visibility

4. Event Support & Promotional Materials

  • Create promotional assets for school-wide events, such as Open Days, student showcases, and community camps.
  • Provide on-site marketing support, including the setup of brand visibility elements like banners, signage, and photo booths.
  • Maintain the department's marketing calendars and event timelines to ensure all promotions are launched on schedule.

5. Departmental Responsibilities

  • Support the Admissions team by assisting with campus tours and student orientations as needed.
  • Assist in preparations for and attend CRD-led events (may include events outside of work hours 2-4 times a semester)

Qualifications and Skills

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • Experience: Prior internship or entry-level experience in graphic design, communications or event coordination, preferably within an educational or non-profit environment.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional writing, proofreading, and editing skills with a sharp eye for detail.
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with Canva, Adobe, digital communication platforms and social media management tools.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse community of staff and parents in a fast-paced environment.
  • Language: Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Chinese is highly recommended.
