Our client is a globally recognized provider of advanced semiconductor equipment and solutions, supporting leading technology companies across high-growth markets. With manufacturing and operational hubs in Singapore and Malaysia, the organization is embarking on its next phase of expansion and seeks an accomplished Vice President of Operations to lead regional operations, supply chain excellence, and manufacturing transformation initiatives. This is a critical leadership opportunity for a commercially minded executive who can scale operations while driving efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction. The role will be based in Penang, Malaysia.

RoleReporting to the executive leadership team, the Vice President of Operations will be responsible for overseeing the company's end-to-end operational footprint, including supply chain management, procurement, manufacturing, logistics, planning, and site leadership across Singapore and Penang. The successful candidate will develop and execute operational strategies that support business growth, improve profitability, and strengthen organizational capabilities. This role will champion operational excellence through lean methodologies, digitalization, strategic sourcing, and effective production planning while ensuring strong execution across both new product introductions and volume manufacturing environments. The incumbent will also play a key role in advancing outsourcing partnerships and asset-light manufacturing strategies to enhance scalability, flexibility, and capital efficiency.

Requirements

The successful candidate is a seasoned operations leader with extensive experience managing complex manufacturing and supply chain organizations within the semiconductor, electronics, precision engineering, or capital equipment sectors. Candidates should demonstrate a strong track record in leading high-mix, low-volume operations, implementing contract manufacturing strategies, and driving large-scale transformation initiatives. A deep understanding of manufacturing best practices, lean operations, quality systems, supplier management, and S&OP processes is essential. The successful individual will possess strong financial and commercial acumen, exceptional stakeholder management skills, and a proven ability to build high-performing teams while fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
