Job Description
- Lead and manage a team of Relationship Managers covering Commercial Banking clients, ensuring delivery of domestic banking solutions and identification of business opportunities arising from clients subsidiaries and diversification activities.
- Oversee and grow the team's client portfolio, providing guidance on client strategy, credit structuring, risk assessment, and relationship deepening.
- Drive new customer acquisition and portfolio expansion through clear targets, disciplined execution, and active coaching of team members.
- Provide end‑to‑end total banking solutions to key clients, working closely with product partners including Transaction Banking, Global Markets, Investment Banking, and other internal stakeholders.
- Review, challenge, and endorse credit proposals, deal structures, and submissions to ensure compliance with bank policies, risk appetite, and governance standards.
- Ensure the team consistently delivers on financial, asset quality, risk, and service KPIs, balancing revenue growth with portfolio quality.
- Coach, mentor, and develop team members, including performance management, talent identification, and succession planning.
- Act as an escalation point for complex client matters, negotiations, and transactions, ensuring timely resolution and strong client experience.
- Uphold strong standards of risk management, compliance, and conduct, and ensure adherence to all regulatory and internal requirements.
Job Requirements
- A recognised Degree in Finance, Accounting, Banking, or Business‑Related Studies.
- Extensive years experience in Commercial Banking, Corporate Banking, credit, and/or business development, with prior team leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
- Strong credit judgement with the ability to evaluate complex structures and provide constructive challenge.
- Proven ability to manage performance, coach others, and lead teams toward shared objectives.
- Strong analytical, interpersonal, and written and verbal communication skills, with confidence engaging senior stakeholders and clients.
- Results‑driven, resilient, and adaptable; able to manage competing priorities and extended working hours during critical transactions.
- Committed, confident, and collaborative team leader with high integrity and accountability.
