Role Description

  • Primary Tools / Platforms: Qualys VMDR, Qualys WAS / VAWA, vulnerability reporting tools, ticketing tools such as myGenie / Remedy / ServiceNow / Azure DevOps where applicable
  • Job Scope: The resource is expected to support BAU and Hypercare activities related to vulnerability management, including Qualys VAWA scan findings review, vulnerability reporting, remediation follow-up, exception tracking, and audit/compliance coordination.
  • Key Responsibilities: Review vulnerability scan findings; validate and categorize vulnerabilities; prepare recurring VM reports; coordinate remediation follow-up with application and infrastructure owners; track exceptions, waivers and risk acceptances; support audit evidence preparation; maintain remediation status and ageing reports; support Hypercare issue tracking and escalation.
  • Required Skills: Hands-on experience in vulnerability management operations; working knowledge of Qualys VMDR and/or Qualys WAS; understanding of CVSS, vulnerability severity, remediation SLAs and exception handling; ability to analyze scan results and translate findings into actionable remediation items; strong reporting and stakeholder coordination skills.
  • Compliance / Audit Skills: Ability to prepare evidence for audit and compliance reviews; maintain accurate remediation trackers; support control validation; identify overdue, repeated or high-risk findings; coordinate with asset/application owners for closure evidence.
  • Technical Knowledge: Basic understanding of infrastructure, web application vulnerabilities, authentication-based scanning, vulnerability lifecycle, patching coordination and security risk classification.
  • Stakeholder Management: Ability to coordinate with Cyber, AMS, IMS, application owners, infrastructure teams and project stakeholders during Hypercare.
  • Reporting Capability: Strong Excel / PowerPoint skills; ability to prepare weekly status reports, ageing reports, executive summaries and remediation dashboards.
  • Preferred Experience: Prior experience supporting enterprise vulnerability management, Qualys operations, application/infrastructure scanning, remediation governance or cyber compliance activities.
