Wafer Equipment Sustaining Engineer (Entry Level)

Location: Penang, Malaysia

Support Scope: United States Factory Operations

Work Schedule: SaturdayTuesday, 9:00 AM 8:00 PM (MYT)

Role Overview

The Wafer Equipment Sustaining Engineer is responsible for maintaining, optimizing, and improving wafer fabrication equipment performance to ensure stable, high-yield manufacturing. This role supports U.S.-based factory operations and provides hands-on exposure to advanced semiconductor tools, automation systems, and data-driven manufacturing.

What You'll Do

  • Troubleshoot and optimize equipment process controls and parameters.
  • Collaborate with managers, technicians, and engineers to resolve complex equipment issues.
  • Document and communicate factory status, including emerging problems and solutions.
  • Monitor SPC data and leverage machine learning applications to predict and prevent equipment inhibitors.
  • Train technicians and managers on evolving tool control systems.
  • Work with state-of-the-art nanofabrication equipment and cutting-edge technologies.
  • Drive automation projects using advanced workflow and decision-analysis tools

What We're Looking For

  • BS degree in Chemistry, Physics, Materials Science and Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related STEM field.
  • 02 years of experience.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Basic computer proficiency and understanding of statistical controls.
  • Interest in semiconductor manufacturing and automation.
