Will be responsible for overseeing warehouse operations, logistics activities, inventory control, production material supply, and import/export coordination to ensure efficient and compliant operations. This position plays a key role in supporting production continuity, inventory accuracy, and on-time customer deliveries at our Kulim, Kedah facility
Position Responsibilities
- Supervise daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, inventory control, picking, packing, shipping, and material movements.
- Coordinate import, export, local deliveries, and international shipments while ensuring timely customs clearance and accurate shipping documentation.
- Ensure inventory accuracy through cycle counts, stock reconciliation, FIFO/FEFO practices, and proper material traceability.
- Coordinate with Production Planning, Purchasing, and Production teams to ensure timely material issuance and kitting activities based on production schedules.
- Monitor material shortages, inventory discrepancies, and shipment delays while implementing corrective actions to minimize operational disruptions.
- Ensure compliance with Malaysian Customs and Licensed Manufacturing Warehouse (LMW) requirements, including import/export documentation and audit readiness.
- Monitor warehouse KPIs, freight costs, inventory performance, and operational efficiency while identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Lead and develop warehouse and logistics personnel through daily work planning, coaching, performance monitoring, and operational support.
- Ensure compliance with company safety, quality, and regulatory requirements while maintaining warehouse housekeeping and safe material handling practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, suppliers, freight forwarders, and customers to support smooth logistics operations and customer satisfaction.
Position Qualifications and Requirements
- Diploma or bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in logistics, warehouse, supply chain, or manufacturing operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Experience in the EMS (Electronics Manufacturing Services) industry is highly preferred.
- Practical knowledge of import/export processes, Malaysian Customs regulations, and Licensed Manufacturing Warehouse (LMW) compliance is an advantage.
- Experience managing warehouse operations, inventory control, production kitting, and international logistics activities.
- Strong working knowledge of ERP, WMS, MES, or similar warehouse and manufacturing systems.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel; knowledge of Power BI, VBA, Python, or warehouse automation tools is an added advantage.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional coordination skills.
- Strong communication skills in English and Mandarin (spoken and written). We are seeking candidates proficient in Mandarin to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients.
- Able to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while managing multiple priorities and meeting operational KPIs.
