Warehouse Assistant Manager/Manager

Salary Range: RM6,000 – RM8,000 (negotiable based on experience)
We are currently hiring for the position of Warehouse Assistant Manager/Manager for a manufacturing company based in Sendayan TechValley, Seremban.
This role is suitable for candidates with strong experience in warehouse operations, inventory control, stock accuracy, shipping coordination, FIFO arrangement, warehouse SOP improvement, and team management.
The company is involved in advanced chemical / electronic materials manufacturing, including high-purity specialty gases and electronic-grade materials used in the electronics and semiconductor-related manufacturing sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, stock arrangement, order picking, packing, shipping, and delivery coordination.
- Conduct regular stock checks, cycle counts, and full inventory audits to ensure stock accuracy.
- Monitor inventory levels and highlight minimum stock, excess stock, discrepancies, or potential shortages.
- Ensure all stock is properly arranged and stored according to FIFO and company warehouse procedures.
- Maintain and update warehouse Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and continuously improve warehouse workflow.
- Monitor warehouse space utilization to ensure goods are stored safely, correctly, and efficiently.
- Coordinate and prioritize daily warehouse activities to meet production, customer, and delivery requirements.
- Communicate with transporters to ensure timely and accurate delivery arrangements.
- Resolve shipment or delivery issues promptly with transport partners and internal departments.
- Review monthly shipping costs, verify data accuracy, and submit cost settlement details to Finance on time.
- Manage warehouse staff, work schedules, daily task allocation, productivity, and performance.
- Provide training and guidance to warehouse personnel to improve efficiency and operational discipline.
- Ensure proper working condition of warehouse areas, forklifts, tools, fixtures, and equipment, and arrange repairs or replacements when required.
- Develop and recommend improvements to warehouse practices to increase efficiency and reduce operational costs.
- Ensure warehouse operations comply with safety, quality, inventory control, and company requirements.
- Complete other ad-hoc tasks assigned by the superior.
Requirements
- Candidate must possess at least a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Warehouse Management, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in warehouse management, preferably in the manufacturing, transport, logistics, chemical, or electronic materials industry.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control, FIFO, stock audits, shipping, and warehouse documentation.
- Familiar with warehouse management systems and inventory control procedures.
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to guide and develop warehouse team members.
- Good organizational, problem-solving, multitasking, and planning skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel for reporting and data analysis.
- Able to communicate in English, Mandarin, and Bahasa Malaysia.
- Mandarin proficiency is required to communicate effectively with HQ.
