Job Description

Basic Purpose/Accountabilities:

  • Responsibe for providing warehousing and inventory management services to Drilling Team clients. Ensure safe and efficient flow of material from supplier to the warehouse to offshore locations with full traceability and auditable records.

Primary Functions/Responsibilities:

  • Safely manage warehouse operations during the handling, storing and packaging of inventory Items.
  • Ensure items received are verified against the purchase order and receipted in a timely manner
  • Ensure orders are promptly picked, processed, packaged and documented for custom requirements.
  • Provide inventory information to clients as needed while ensuring condition codes are correctly assigned.
  • Work with QAQC on new or returned materials in order to assign accurate condition codes and values
  • Manage document retention of all transactions, including Materials Transfer Form / Material Return Voucher and shipping and customs documents
  • Track movements of materials to and from any third party repair and assembly shops; be accountable to always know where COP inventories are stored.
  • Work closely with Formalities and Custom coordinator to ensure all bonded items are declared to Custom Department per Malaysian Law and regulations.
  • Monitor contractor items to ensure conformance to contract; advise non-conformances to Drilling Team;
  • Coordinate with Drilling and Procurement on specialty requirement (machining, fabrication, make up, etc.); raise MSR as needed and expedite their progress
  • Liaise with Drilling and Procurement to monitor purchased materials to ensure on time delivery
  • Assist in the execution of call off purchase orders and services orders against established contracts.
  • Liaise with Rig and Drilling during demobilization to locate or chase missing items (avoid LIH charges)
  • Lead the physical counting and review of materials returned from rig (inspection, stock, disposal, etc.).
  • Monitor / track CCU; update records on every shipment to improve billing accuracy on rented equipment
  • Monitor temporary storage of COP equipment at all locations (COP warehouse, Contractor warehouse, etc.)
  • Perform inventory and physical stock checks on materials at contractor warehouse on monthly basis.
  • Liaise with QAQC as necessary to ensure proper condition, packaging, labeling before loading offshore
  • Plan material/equipment reqt's with MC on daily basis
  • Fax / Scan requisition to contractor for call out equipment in advance as per COP procedure
  • Maintain Well Reconciliation Sheet to track all issues, returns and footages (or equipment) left in well; submit reconciliation within 30 days of completed well

Personal Skills:

  • Minimum 5 years materials experience as a logistics, warehouse or material coordinator for oil & gas company to support drilling operations, which includes
  • Minimum 3 years experience as a drilling warehouse coordinator within Labuan base.
  • Strong Interpersonal / Written communication skills; fluency in Oral and Written English.
  • Ability to work with little supervision.
  • Organizational skills and ability to priorities.
  • Minimum Year 10 School Certificate.
  • Supervisory necessary to direct operations
  • Well-developed customer relationship skills.
  • Certificate in Business or Administration desired

Job Specifications:

  • Experienced in Drilling Operations.
  • Experienced in vessel operations, vessel specifications and directing marine operations
  • Self-directed with ability to multi -task and liaise with large client / contractor base.
  • Familiar with governmental marine regulations
  • Previous experience working logistics associated with drilling operations.
  • SAP experience is preferred
  • Experience and expertise with Microsoft Office suite of software programs
  • Experience with regional Customs processes
