Warehouse Material Handler

Work Location: Johor Bahru

The Warehouse Material Handler is responsible for handling, storing, and moving materials, products, and supplies within the warehouse facility. This includes receiving goods, verifying inventory, preparing products for shipment, and maintaining an organized and efficient warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will be able to work in a fast-paced environment, maintain safety standards, and ensure the accuracy of inventory.

Key Accountabilities

Receiving and Inspection

• Receive incoming shipments and verify materials against purchase orders, ensuring accuracy.
• Inspect items for damages and report discrepancies to management.
• Update inventory records for newly received goods

Storage and Organization

• Store products and materials in designated areas according to their type, size, and shelf life.
• Ensure materials are organized and accessible for easy retrieval.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of warehouse space, ensuring all areas are free from hazards.

Material Handling

• Use equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks to transport goods within the warehouse.
• Load and unload materials onto trucks and organize shipments for delivery.
• Move materials to designated locations within the warehouse for proper storage and distribution

Inventory Management

• Maintain accurate records of material movements in and out of the warehouse.
• Assist in conducting regular inventory audits and cycle counts.
• Report inventory discrepancies or stock shortages to the supervisor.

Shipping and Order Fulfilment

• Pick, pack, and prepare materials for shipment based on customer orders.
• Ensure items are packaged securely to prevent damage during transport.
• Assist with the preparation of shipping documentation, such as bills of lading and labels.

Safety and Compliance

• Follow safety protocols and guidelines, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Ensure all materials and equipment are stored safely and comply with OSHA or other relevant safety regulations.
• Participate in safety training and report any safety hazards.

Qualifications & Experience

• High school / diploma or equivalent.
• 2 -5 years experience in warehouse environment
• Prior experience in warehouse or material handling roles is preferred
• Ability to operate warehouse equipment (e.g., Reach Truck, pallet jacks, With Forklift license is a plus). High tech industries added advantage
• Able to work in Johor Bahru
