Job Responsibilities:
The process engineering position at the site is to interface with the factory technical staff and with corporate engineering to define opportunities for standards development and cost savings. This role is typically focused on high complexity manufacturing processes and is key to the standardization and advancement of the processes in Plexus. This role is also responsible for solving high level customer / assembly specific problems in the manufacturing process.
- Responsible for machine utilization and downtime improvement efforts.
- Lead Process Qualification and Validation activities.
- New product process flow creation and implementation.
- Supports and improves existing manufacturing flow, systems, create and buyoff new process procedure.
- Qualifies and implements new manufacturing technologies process.
- Develop assembly processes work instructions, procedures and process control plans for new products DPMO review with Process owner-SMT, PTH, Wave soldering.
- Pallet/Fixture Design and HLA experiences are added advantages.
- Line Set up, NPI Process and Product transfer knowledge woudl be added advantanges.
- Additional duties as assigned by management.
Job Requirements:
- Degree in Engineering with minimum 6 years working experience in PCBA and system assembly processes.
- Familiar with PCBA processes such as screen printing, component placement, reflow profiling, manual insertion, wave soldering, system assembly and rework.
- Good technical report writing skills.
- Good SPC and communication skills.
- Good exposure with Surface Mount Technology (SMT) is an added advantage.
- Knowledge in Minitab/Statistical analysis, IPC, analytical thininking, 8D problem solving and etc.
- Chemical Qualification such as solder paster, flux and etc would be bonus point.
