Job Purpose:
The Wealth Manager is responsible for driving sales of the bank's wealth solutions in the respective regions. This includes, but not limited to, Unit Trusts, Gold Accounts and Banca Takaful products. This role requires close collaboration with branch teams to generate leads, provide advisory services, and conduct regular training sessions to enhance sales effectiveness. The incumbent must meet daily activity requirements, ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines, and deliver high-quality financial solutions to clients.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Sales Leadership and Business Growth
- Promote and sell wealth products, including (but not limited to) gold accounts, unit trusts, and Banca Takaful.
- Conduct a minimum of twenty (20) joint appointments weekly with the branches supported, to acquire new customers and deepen relationships.
- Work closely with branch staff and relationship managers to generate leads and maximize product penetration.
- Conduct financial needs analysis and recommend suitable wealth solutions to clients based on their risk profiles.
- Develop and execute strategies to achieve sales, revenue and growth targets for wealth products.
- Identify new business opportunities and market trends to expand the bank's wealth portfolio.
2. Training & Capacity Building
- Conduct a minimum of one (1) hour of daily training for all personnel involved in marketing wealth solutions within the branches supported.
- Educate branch teams on wealth products, sales techniques, and market updates to enhance their knowledge and confidence.
- Ensure branch staff are well-equipped to identify customer needs and refer potential leads effectively.
3. Customer Advisory & Relationship Management
- Deliver high-quality financial advisory services tailored to clients investment goals and risk appetites.
- Strengthen customer relationships through regular engagement and portfolio reviews.
- Provide insights on market trends, investment opportunities, and risk management strategies.
4. Reporting & Compliance
- Submit a daily activity report detailing joint appointments, training sessions, and key outcomes to the Regional Director, copied to the Head of Wealth Sales.
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions and sales activities as per bank policies.
- Ensure strict adherence to regulatory and internal compliance guidelines in all sales activities.
- Conduct proper due diligence, risk profiling, and suitability assessments before recommending products/solutions.
5. Performance & Target Achievement
- Meet or exceed assigned sales targets for wealth products/solutions.
- Drive customer acquisition and product penetration across assigned branches.
- Monitor performance of individual wealth salespersons and take proactive steps to address any shortfalls.
Requirements:
1. Education:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, Business, Banking, Economics, or a related field.
- Professional certifications such as CFP, RFP, IPPC, CEILI or other investment-related licenses are an advantage
2. Experience:
- Total of 6 – 8 years of experience in the Financial Services industry with a minimum 3 years in wealth management, investment sales, or bancassurance, preferably in a customer-facing advisory role.
3. Skills & Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of wealth products (e.g. Gold Accounts, Unit Trusts, and Banca Takaful).
- Excellent sales, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to conduct effective financial planning and advisory services.
- Strong presentation and training skills to educate branch teams.
- Results-driven with a structured approach to daily activities and reporting.
- Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements in wealth management.
