Company Description
NSTY Holding Sdn Bhd is a Malaysian-owned, founder-led consumer group operating across food and beverage, fragrance, fashion, distribution and manufacturing. Its brands include Lomak Salai and Restoran Pagi Malam under Handa Group, NBDY (Nobody Perfume) in fragrance, and Nostalgya in fashion, supported by a central kitchen, a food supply arm, a manufacturing facility in Tampin, and operations in Shenzhen and Dubai. Group functions sit at holding level and support all brands, so this role works across the portfolio rather than on a single brand.
This is a hands-on build and maintenance role covering the group's brand websites, e-commerce storefronts and tracking layer. It is an execution seat: you will spend most of your week in code, in the CMS and in the tag manager, not in meetings.
Role Description
This is a hands-on build and maintenance role covering the group's brand websites, e-commerce storefronts and tracking layer. It is an execution seat: you will spend most of your week in code, in the CMS and in the tag manager, not in meetings.
Responsibilities
- Build, update and maintain the websites and e-commerce storefronts for all group brands — pages, templates, product setup, front-end fixes and back-end changes.
- Monitor uptime, checkout health and error logs daily, and escalate incidents affecting checkout or payment immediately.
- Implement and maintain tracking: pixels, conversion events, Google Tag Manager containers and UTM discipline, to the specification agreed with the marketing team.
- Run the monthly attribution reconciliation, comparing platform-reported conversions against back-end orders, and investigate variances.
- Execute the agreed release queue each week, and support app releases when scheduled.
- Carry out technical SEO and site health work — page speed, broken links, indexation, Core Web Vitals on key templates.
- Maintain the storefront, payment gateway and stock integrations, and raise integration failures for resolution.
- Keep the platform register current: domains, hosting, licences, credentials and renewal dates, held jointly with your reporting line.
- Attend weekly campaign brief triage and advise on technical feasibility and effort.
- Guide and check the work of the junior technical resource or intern assigned to the team.
Key measures
Release delivery — at least 90% of agreed releases shipped within the sprint. Tracking accuracy within 2% variance between platform and back-end reporting. Technical queue turnaround. Mobile page load on key templates. Contribution to group storefront uptime of at least 99.5%, measured jointly with your reporting line rather than held alone. Rework rate on shipped changes.
Requirements
- 2 to 4 years hands-on building and maintaining live websites, at least one of which was a transacting e-commerce site.
- Working front-end capability — HTML, CSS, JavaScript — and enough back-end capability to make and test server-side changes yourself. We will ask you to walk us through your own code.
- Practical experience with at least one e-commerce platform in production: Shopify, WooCommerce, Magento, or a custom stack.
- Hands-on implementation of Google Tag Manager and GA4, including conversion events. You should be able to explain in plain terms why platform-reported conversions rarely match back-end orders.
- Basic working knowledge of hosting, DNS, SSL and deployment — enough to diagnose where a problem sits before escalating it.
- Experience improving page speed or Core Web Vitals on a real site, with some idea of what the numbers were before and after.
- Ability to work across several brands with competing deadlines, and to flag a clash early rather than absorb it.
- Proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia and English.
- Advantageous: Malaysian payment gateways (iPay88, Billplz, Razer), mobile app release exposure, Looker Studio or Data Studio reporting, experience checking a junior's work.
What we ask you to submit
This role is shortlisted on demonstrated work, not on a CV alone. Applications without the following will not be reviewed:
- Two or three live URLs of sites you built or substantially worked on, with a short note on each stating what was specifically yours, what the stack was, and what you were solving.
- A link to your GitHub, GitLab or equivalent, or any code sample you are able to share. Client-owned or private work is acceptable if you can walk us through it in the interview.
- One example of a technical problem you fixed on a live site, with rough before and after numbers — page speed, error rate, checkout completion or tracking variance. Estimates are fine; we are looking at how you think, not at the precision of the figures.
- Self-taught candidates without a computer science degree are welcome to apply. The submitted work carries more weight than the qualification.
Selection process
Application and portfolio screening, an initial call, a technical conversation walking through your own submitted work, a short practical audit exercise (details below, capped at 90 minutes), and a final interview.
