Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled WordPress Developer to manage and enhance our company websites and internal ERP system. The role involves building and updating in-house WordPress plugins, customizing themes, optimizing performance, and ensuring website security. The developer will also handle feature implementation, troubleshooting, and integration with third-party tools. Experience with Elementor, custom post types, and backend WordPress development is essential.
Key Responsibilities
1. Multi-Site Website Management
- Maintain and update a portfolio of in-house group company websites built on WordPress.
- Customize and optimize themes across different brands while keeping consistency with each company's identity.
- Implement shared components and ensure standardization across multiple sites.
2. ERP & Plugin Development
- Build, extend, and maintain custom WordPress plugins for our internal ERP system.
- Create custom post types, forms, and workflows tailored to company operations.
- Integrate ERP with internal and third-party systems (M365, CRMs, HR tools, APIs).
3. Performance & Security
- Monitor uptime and site performance across multiple websites.
- Implement caching, CDN, and database optimization for high performance.
- Apply WordPress security best practices (patches, malware protection, user access management).
4. Feature Implementation & Support
- Develop new features and functionalities based on business requirements.
- Troubleshoot technical issues across different websites quickly and effectively.
- Provide support and improvements for both ERP workflows and front-facing websites.
5. Collaboration & Documentation
- Work with internal stakeholders across multiple companies to gather requirements.
- Document technical processes, site configurations, and plugin structures for maintainability.
- Ensure smooth handover and scalability for future development.
Requirements
Must-Haves
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience in WordPress development.
- Strong proficiency in PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Proven experience in building and maintaining custom WordPress plugins.
- Familiarity with Elementor and custom post types.
- Solid understanding of WordPress architecture and database structure.
- Experience in managing WordPress security, performance, and updates.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and debug independently.
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience integrating third-party APIs and tools.
- Knowledge of MySQL and database optimization.
- Familiarity with Git version control.
- Basic understanding of UI/UX best practices.
- Experience working in a collaborative team environment.
Additional Information
- Candidates will undergo 2 rounds of interviews with some pre-employment assessment tests as part of the recruitment procedure.
- Kindly note that all new hires will be offered yearly renewable employment contract.
