Department's core group, technical expertise and technical improvement.
Key Accountabilities:
Responsible for welding engineering / operation including interface with PMT and Client.
Review contractual document and specification (Welding / NDT* / line pipe / FJC*). Provide relevant technical evaluation / deviation / clarification for project execution and bidding / tendering. Review project specific welding / NDT* / FJC* program, execution plan, method statement, schedule, weld map, Welding Procedure Specification (WPS) and relevant documentation (qualification and installation). (*) Main accountability remains from NDT and Coating Engineers.
Work closely with welding, NDT, FJC and operation teams to optimize installation productivity and supervision of installation's cycle time (station and activity wise) / weld cut-out / weld repair / downtime.
Develop the most robust welding procedure to maximize offshore production and minimize weld repairs/cut outs.
Determine quantities for all welding related consumables required during the project qualification and execution.
Participate in the risk management of welding execution. Provide technical resolution for any qualification / installation operational issues related to welding, NDT and QC.
Monitor project's cost / schedule to be within allocated budget / dateline including tracking of planned vs actual execution.
Prepare / review the deliverables with the Project Support Engineer as part of project preparation and execution.
Provide ad hoc support for NDT and FJC activities during the project execution, including during offshore installation.
Prepare the welding close out report after project execution including production performance analysis, lesson learned, personnel evaluation,
Provide ad hoc support for SEOB yard fabrication for the project installation aids and fabricated items if required.
Manage with the Project Support Engineer the evaluation forms and feedback forms from/to subcontractor / vendors.
