What would you be doing:
1. Creative Strategy & Campaign Direction
- Develop creative strategies that align with acquisition and engagement goals across paid and owned channels.
- Lead ideation of campaign concepts, hooks, narratives, and content formats that resonate with gaming audiences.
- Translate insights and briefs into clear creative direction for designers, editors, and writers.
2. Market & Competitor Research
- Monitor trends across the gaming and digital advertising space using tools like Meta Ads Library, BigSpy, and TikTok Creative Center.
- Analyze top-performing ads and competitor campaigns to identify creative gaps and white space opportunities.
- Maintain a trend deck or swipe file that keeps the team inspired and informed.
3. Performance-Backed Strategy
- Collaborate with media buyers and marketing leads to review ad metrics (CTR, ROAS, CVR, LTV, etc.) and utilize them to inform creative testing and refinement.
- Build creative testing frameworks from angles and hooks to formats and messaging.
- Help establish feedback loops between design and performance teams.
4. Collaboration & Creative Briefing
- Serve as the strategic lead on creative projects, writing briefs, defining objectives, and guiding brainstorming sessions.
- Collaborate closely with content producers to ensure creative output is aligned with both strategy and brand.
- Step in with light design support if needed during high-volume periods or team absences (optional, not core).
5. Messaging & Audience Insights
- Understand the psychology and motivation of gamers and help shape messaging that speaks to their desires and triggers.
- Maintain consistency across creative touchpoints while tailoring messaging to different audience segments and platforms.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- 2 - 4 years of experience in creative strategy, brand planning, or campaign ideation, preferably within digital marketing, gaming, or entertainment sectors.
- Familiarity with performance-driven marketing, you understand how creative connects to acquisition and retention.
- Strong experience analyzing competitor campaigns and distilling insights from ad libraries and market tools.
- Confident in leading creative brainstorming sessions and giving feedback to execution teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Chinese and English.
