Job Summary:
We are looking for a Junior Developer with strong experience in data development within the banking domain. The candidate should have hands-on expertise in Informatica (certified), Teradata or Hadoop, and Oracle, and should be proficient in data mapping, data modeling, and data marts. The role involves supporting development, implementation, and maintenance of data solutions for wholesale banking analytics and reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain data solutions using Informatica, Teradata/Hadoop, and Oracle
Perform data mapping, modeling, and creation of data marts
Support ETL and data warehousing processes
Assist in development and implementation of Big Data/AI/ML solutions where required
Collaborate with business analysts and senior developers to translate business requirements into technical solutions
Ensure data quality, integrity, and compliance with banking standards
Participate in testing, troubleshooting, and deployment activities
Follow SDLC, PLC, and Agile processes in project execution
Required Skills:
3-5 years of experience in data development
Informatica certification with hands-on experience
Proficiency in Teradata or Hadoop and Oracle (at least one mandatory)
Experience in data mapping, data modeling, and creation of data marts
Knowledge of banking data concepts, financial reporting, and analytics
Familiarity with Big Data tools: HDFS, Hive, HUE, Scala, AI/ML development
Experience with ETL tools and data analytics platforms (SAS, Qlik Sense, PowerBI, Python)
Exposure to CI/CD and DevOps tools (JIRA, Jenkins, Bit Bucket, QuerySurge)
Linux, Windows, AIX, or Unix OS experience
Nice-to-Have Skills:
Knowledge of Red Hat OpenShift, containerization, and Kubernetes
Exposure to AI/ML development projects
Functional knowledge in finance analytics, credit risk, treasury, trade finance, or retail banking
Experience in data governance, regulatory reporting (BCBS 239, Basel), and compliance
Familiarity with SDLC, PLC, Agile, and DevOps practices
