Job Title - Windows 365 / Digital Workspace Solution Architect
Job Summary
The Windows 365 Solution Architect is responsible for designing, governing, and delivering secure, scalable, and cost‑effective Cloud PC and end‑user computing solutions using Microsoft technologies. This role provides architectural leadership across Windows 365, Azure, Microsoft Intune, and identity platforms, ensuring alignment with business objectives, security standards, and enterprise IT strategies.
The architect works closely with stakeholders, engineering teams, vendors, and leadership to define roadmaps, approve designs, and guide complex migrations and transformations, including transitions from legacy VDI platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Architecture & Design
- Design end‑to‑end Windows 365 Cloud PC and Digital Workspace architecture
- Define reference architectures, solution blueprints, and design standards
- Ensure solutions align with enterprise security, compliance, and governance requirements
- Review and approve technical designs, implementation plans, and vendor proposals
Strategy & Transformation
- Lead solution strategy for migration from Citrix / WVD / AVD to Windows 365
- Define roadmap, target architecture, and transition states
- Provide architecture input for cost optimization, licensing, and scalability
- Support portfolio planning and long‑term EUC transformation initiatives
Security & Governance
- Architect identity and access using Entra ID (Azure AD), Conditional Access, and MFA
- Ensure endpoint security, compliance, and DLP integration
- Govern SLOs, SLAs, change management, and operational readiness
- Ensure adherence to internal IT policies and regulatory requirements
Collaboration & Leadership
- Act as the primary technical authority for Windows 365 solutions
- Partner with PMs, infrastructure teams, security, and service operations
- Engage with vendors and Microsoft partners on solution design and execution
- Mentor engineers and administrators on architecture best practices
Documentation & Review
- Produce high‑level and low‑level design documents (HLD / LLD)
- Review runbooks, SOPs, and BAU operational models
- Support architecture reviews, audits, and executive briefings
Required Skills & Experience
- Proven experience as a Solution Architect for EUC, VDI, or Digital Workspace platforms
- Deep expertise in Windows 365 Cloud PC and Microsoft Intune
- Strong background in Azure, networking, identity, and endpoint security
- Experience designing enterprise‑scale solutions (thousands of users)
- Hands‑on experience with Citrix, WVD, or Azure Virtual Desktop
- Strong understanding of licensing, cost models, and optimization strategies
Preferred Qualifications
- Microsoft certifications (e.g., AZ‑305, MS‑102, MD‑102)
- Experience working in regulated or large enterprise environments
- Familiarity with ITIL, TOGAF, or enterprise architecture frameworks
