Job Responsibilities
- Windows Engineer requires an individual to be able to understand Windows needs, select the appropriate products and develop the appropriate processes to meet those needs, and certify the solutions for deployment in production environment.
- Design, develop, document, test and deploy Compute hosting capabilities in Windows for on-prem and cloud based environment.
- Provide engineering and technical support for Compute hosting solutions.
- Lead/maintain lifecycle management of Compute hardware and software technologies.
- Lead business to move toward cloud journey as an ideal solution to improve business performance and add value
- Provide technical consulting and understand any current or ongoing problems and pain points within customer organizations.
Technical skills
Operating System
- Microsoft Windows Server: Proficiency in operating system administration and troubleshooting
Cloud Platforms
- AWS (Amazon Web Services): Deep knowledge of EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, Lambda, CloudFormation, and other AWS services.
- Azure: Familiarity with Azure VMs, Azure DevOps, Azure Active Directory, and other Azure services.
- SSM (Systems Manager) & cloud-native services: Experience in creating and managing SSM & cloud-native services for automation and configuration.
Configuration Management
- Active Directory: Experience in configuring and managing AD Group Policy and AD Objects (user/computer accounts and groups).
- NTFS File System and Permissions: Familiar with the mechanics of NTFS file permissions and able to configure/troubleshoot related subjects.
- DFS Replication: Experience in configuring and managing DFS namespaces and DFS replication.
- SSM (Systems Manager): Experience in creating and managing SSM documents for automation and configuration.
Scripting & Automation
· PowerShell: Proficiency in scripting and automation using PowerShell.
· Python: Proficiency in scripting and automation using Python.
· Ansible: Proficiency in writing playbooks, managing inventories, and automating tasks.
· GitHub: Proficiency in version control, branching strategies, and collaboration using GitHub.
