Job Title: Wintel & Azure Administration

Location: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Desired Competencies (Technical/Behavioral Competency)

Role Expectation

Administration - Infrastructure & Cloud Services to support the 24/7 support and maintenance of IT infrastructure services at the customer location. This role requires hands-on technical expertise, cross-functional teams, and a proactive approach to ensuring system reliability, scalability, and security. The ideal candidate will drive operational excellence in a 24/7 support model, lead incident and problem management, and collaborate with stakeholders to align infrastructure capabilities with business needs.

Operating System: Hands-on expertise in Operating systems Windows).

Infra & Azure Administration: Infrastructure administration across cloud and on-prem environments.

Cloud Platforms: Proven experience as on Azure Administration. (Azure Architect Certification (Az-104))

DNS & Network Services: Basic understanding of Active Directory (AD), DNS, and DHCP. Exposure to DNS management tools like BIND, Azure DNS, Infoblox, or Cloudflare is a plus.

Security & Compliance: Assist in vulnerability assessment (VA) scanning and remediation activities at OS and middleware layers under guidance.

Incident & Operations Support: Participate in incident resolution and support high-severity calls with senior team members. Monitor and maintain data center operations.

Migration Support: Contribute to server and application migration projects across cloud platforms.

Automation: Learn and support automation tasks using Ansible, Azure CLI, and shell scripting.

Collaboration & Learning: Work closely with senior engineers, vendors, and stakeholders. Demonstrate willingness to learn and grow in infrastructure management.

Reporting & Documentation: Prepare basic operational reports and assist in audit documentation.

Flexibility: Open to working night shifts for critical incidents and scheduled maintenance.

24/7 Support: Participate in rotational shifts to ensure continuous infrastructure support.

License Tracking: Assist in monitoring OS and product licenses under team supervision.

Good-to-Have

ITIL Process Support: Assist in implementing and improving ITIL processes such as Incident, Change, Problem, Capacity, and Availability Management under guidance.

Incident Handling: Support high-severity incident resolution alongside senior engineers; learn escalation and coordination practices.

Technical Exposure: Gain hands-on experience across operating systems (Windows/Linux), Azure, and middleware technologies.

Troubleshooting: Learn to identify and resolve basic issues on legacy OS and middleware tools with team support.

Infrastructure Services: Contribute to end-to-end infrastructure operations ensuring smooth integration and performance.

Communication & Coordination: Collaborate with vendors and internal teams for operational tasks and issue resolution.

Cloud Knowledge: Familiarity with Oracle Cloud and AWS administration concepts; willingness to learn advanced tasks.

DNS & Security Basics: Understand Cloudflare DNS and WAF fundamentals for middleware hardening and vulnerability mitigation.
