The Desktop Management Administrator manages all aspects of the company's desktop management suite and IT service management tool.This includes building and troubleshooting Windows images, creating and updating software deployment packages, deployment of OS and application patches and monitoring endpoints for compliance.
The Desktop Management Administrator is also responsible for thorough documentation, project planning and coordination, and IT Support training.
Principal Accountabilities:
- Global position that must interact with support personnel in various regions
- Administrate software distribution infrastructure (Baramundi or similar) for SLHC or any other KUKA subsidiary.
- Package, test and troubleshoot computer images with support for multiple languages
- Package, test, troubleshoot and deploy applications and scripts
- Deploy and monitor OS and application patches
- Generate and maintain global workplace reports
- Document solutions and procedures; organize and update existing knowledge articles
- Serve as a technical resource for members of the global IT support teams
- Evaluate the security of endpoints and implement necessary security measures
- Group Policy Management
- Management of client policies and client updates in Microsoft Intune
- Mobile device management via Intune
- Management of endpoint-related software
- Monitor and assess endpoint health, ensuring compliance with security standards.
- Participate in local and on-call 1st level IT Support activities if required
- Manage 3rd party contractors, vendors, contracts, renewals, and licenses.
- Manage, execute, or support IT Projects as required.
- Work with other IT Departments in SLHC or KUKA as needed
- Ensure IT security and data privacy
- Support audits and certifications (HiTrust, ISO27001, etc.)
- Defines and enforces department operating policies, procedures, and budget.
- Adhere to corporate policies and procedures and legal requirements
- Performs other duties, as assigned.
Knowledge & Experience
- Exceptional knowledge of Windows 10/11 support, operation, security, packaging and upgrades
- Experience with imaging of Windows 10/11 using Baramundi, SCCM, MDT or similar tools; familiarity with DISM, unattend answer files
- Experience scripting with PowerShell, VBScript, Batch, or other languages
- Experience with Microsoft Intune
- Experience packaging and deploying Windows applications
- Experience with the deployment and monitoring of Windows updates
- Experience with BitLocker deployment and administration
- Experience supporting a wide range of desktop applications
Work Conditions

- Must be able to lift and transport moderately heavy objects, such as computers and peripherals.
