Workshop Operations Manager

Location: Singapore

Our client is a leading and well-established automotive group in Singapore, known for its strong after-sales excellence and diverse portfolio of automotive brands. Due to business expansion, we are supporting them in hiring a Workshop Operations Manager to lead daily workshop operations and drive after-sales performance.

This role is ideal for an experienced automotive professional with strong operations management, technical understanding, and people leadership experience.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead Daily Workshop Operations

  • Oversee end-to-end daily workshop activities to ensure smooth operations.
  • Manage workshop workflow to achieve targeted throughput and external sales revenue.

2. Achieve Commercial & Performance Targets

  • Ensure achievement of budgeted sales, gross profit (GP), and key KPIs.
  • Monitor operational performance and implement corrective actions when necessary.

3. New Vehicle Preparation Coordination

  • Work closely with internal teams, NVP, and external vendors to support new vehicle preparation and timely delivery.

4. Technical Collaboration

  • Partner with the technical department on troubleshooting, developing field fixes, and escalating technical trends to principals when required.

5. People Development

  • Identify training gaps, develop staff capabilities, and ensure strong team performance.
  • Manage a workshop team of 10 or more employees.

6. Compliance & Quality Standards

  • Uphold ISO9000 quality processes and ensure compliance with principals after-sales service policies.
  • Maintain high service quality and operational integrity.

Technical Skills & Knowledge:

  • Minimum 10 years experience in automotive after-sales or workshop operations.
  • Strong experience liaising with automotive principals.
  • Hands-on knowledge of warranty processes and procedures.
  • Proven experience managing a team of 10+ staff.
  • Familiarity with dealer management systems (DMS), EPC, and principal portals.

Education & Experience:

  • Diploma or higher.
  • At least 10 years of automotive after-sales / workshop management experience.
