About The Role

Open Capital Advisors, founded in 2010, has completed 1,900+ engagements across 35 countries in Africa and closed over $2 billion in capital raises. This Senior Transaction Leader role involves leading multiple client capital raises and transactions for African businesses and investors, combining transaction management with strategy support and blended finance structuring.

Key responsibilities

Lead capital raise relationships across equity, debt, quasi-equity and blended capital structures

Develop financing strategies and deliver client materials including presentations, models and term sheets

Build and maintain investor relationships; develop market intelligence

Drive business origination and develop market-focused initiatives

Manage and mentor Transaction Leaders, Associates and Analysts

Key requirements

8–12 years in investment banking, private investment, development finance or corporate transactions

Strong financial modelling and investor presentation experience

Senior-level project/transaction management capabilities

Team leadership and coaching experience

Excellent communication and analytical skills

Professional English fluency; French required for Dakar-based applicants

Work authorisation in target country required for Senegal

Nice to have

African markets experience

Expertise in infrastructure, agriculture, energy, financial services or healthcare

Masters/MBA qualification

Positions available in Nairobi, Lagos or Dakar.
