Job Summary

Our Production Quality organization is seeking a Senior Supplier Quality Engineer to strengthen supplier performance, enhance material reliability, and support overall manufacturing quality. This role is responsible for managing supplier-related material defects, leading preliminary failure analysis, and coordinating timely feedback and corrective actions with suppliers. The Senior Supplier Quality Engineer will oversee supplier improvement progress, validate corrective actions, and support audits such as QPA/QSA to ensure alignment with quality expectations.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Responsible for handling quality defects of materials caused by the quality of materials-related issues.
Quality problems and timely feedback to the supplier's quality window.
SQE Preliminary failure analysis of materials to assist suppliers to detect root causes and background data collection.
Responsible for tracking the progress of supplier's management and improvement.
Responsible for tracking supplier's improvement report and review and feasibility.
Responsible confirm supplier's improving results.
Supplier audits QPA/QSA and counseling when necessary.
Assist buyers to do System, PCBA and material quality/technical support.
Support IQC operation and management, Material specification confirmation.
Quality reports and KPI performance review, and CIP.
Customer quality assurance service and drives CAR/FA/8D report.

Qualifications

Extensive Supplier Quality Management (SQM) Experience: Preferably has around 3 years of experience in supplier quality management within computer or electronics manufacturing, and/or IQC materials inspection, with exposure to maintaining product quality and supporting continuous improvement.
Proficiency in Computer and Office Applications: Demonstrates good proficiency with personal computers (PC) and common office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite), including basic to intermediate experience in data analysis and report preparation.
Multilingual Communication Skills: Fluent in English and Malay, with Chinese proficiency considered an added advantage for communication with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
Strong Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Possesses working knowledge of 8D analytical methods to support root cause identification, corrective action implementation, and ongoing quality improvement activities.
Knowledge of Quality Management Systems: Familiarity with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 13485 or other relevant Quality Management Systems (QMS) is highly desirable to ensure alignment with international quality practices.
Ability to Train and Mentor: Ability or willingness to guide or train junior technicians, contributing to knowledge sharing and a culture of continuous improvement within the team.
International Standard Skills: Exposure to IPC-A-600, IPC-A-610, Sampling Plans, ESD, and MSD standards will be an added advantage.
Experience in EMS PCBA Processes: Understanding or experience in EMS environments such as SMT, DIP, Assembly, Testing, and Packing is preferable.
Professional skills in PCBA Level Components: Basic knowledge or exposure to electronic components, PCB materials, connectors, heat sinks, plastic materials, or mechanical parts will be considered a value-added advantage.
