Job Description

Purchasing

Source, evaluate, and select suppliers for materials, components, and services.
Issue Purchase Orders (POs) and ensure timely delivery of goods.
Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts to achieve cost savings.
Monitor supplier performance (delivery, quality, responsiveness).
Resolve supply issues, shortages, and discrepancies.
Maintain accurate purchasing records in ERP systems.

Planning (Material / Production Planning)

Analyze demand forecasts and create material requirement plans (MRP).
Plan inventory levels to meet production needs while minimizing excess stock.
Coordinate with production, warehouse, and logistics teams on scheduling.
Monitor stock levels and take action to avoid stock outs or overstock.
Adjust plans based on changes in demand, supply disruptions, or production priorities.

Supplier & Stakeholder Coordination

Communicate with suppliers regarding delivery schedules and changes.
Collaborate with internal teams (Production, Engineering, QA, Finance).
Support new product introductions and sourcing activities.

Reporting & Analysis

Prepare reports on purchasing trends, cost savings, and inventory status.
Analyze data to improve planning accuracy and procurement efficiency.
Support continuous improvement initiatives in supply chain processes.

Education

Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
2–5 years of relevant experience in purchasing, planning, or supply chain functions (depending on seniority level).
Strong understanding of planning and purchasing item attributes within Oracle ERP system.
Proven negotiation skills with the ability to manage and develop supplier relationships effectively.
Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities.
Excellent communication, coordination, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage a wide range of detailed and diverse tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Capability to integrate cross-functional knowledge, including manufacturing processes, customer service requirements, accounting principles, product design, and ERP system functionalities.
Due to business needs, proficiency in both English and Mandarin (written and verbal) is preferred.
