We are recruiting on behalf of a leading property development and construction firm in Kuala Lumpur, known for their iconic high-rise projects. They are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor / Senior Quantity Surveyor (QS) to join their team and contribute to new, large-scale developments. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional with a background in high-rise construction to make a significant impact on the city's skyline.

About The Job

You will primarily be responsible for project tender & pre-post contract management in highrise projects. The process will includes:

Cost Planning & Estimation: Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for construction projects, including initial estimates and final costs. Provide accurate advice on cost and procurement strategy throughout the project lifecycle.
Tendering & Procurement: Manage the tender process, including preparation of bills of quantities, reviewing contractor bids, and negotiating contracts. Work closely with clients and contractors to ensure cost efficiency.
Contract Administration: Administer contracts, ensuring compliance with agreed-upon terms. Manage any variations or changes to the project scope and evaluate the financial impact.
Valuation & Payment: Conduct interim valuations and prepare progress payments for contractors and subcontractors. Ensure accurate valuations of completed work for payment certification.
Post-Contract Services: Provide post-contract cost control and management, including final accounts preparation, settlement of claims, and cost reconciliation.

About The Manager / Team

You will be reporting to the Contract Manager who comes with many years of experience with the organisation.

Skills And Experience Required

Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
Prefer candidates with high rise building experience.
Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and processes specific to high-rise construction.
