Job Description

The Personal Banking & Wealth banking Team Head leads and motivates a team of Personal Bankers to achieve sales targets and deliver exceptional customer service, contributing to the growth and profitability of the bank's personal banking segment.

Job Responsibilities

Lead, coach, and develop a team of Personal Bankers to meet and exceed individual and team sales targets for various banking products (e.g., deposits, loans, investments, insurance).
Drive the implementation of sales strategies and initiatives to acquire new customers and deepen relationships with existing ones.
Monitor team performance, provide regular feedback, and conduct performance appraisals to ensure continuous improvement.
Ensure the team adheres to all internal policies, regulatory requirements, and compliance standards.
Manage customer escalations and complex service issues, ensuring prompt and satisfactory resolution.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains within the personal banking operations.
Collaborate with other departments, such as product development and marketing, to enhance customer offerings and achieve business objectives.
Prepare and present regular reports on team performance, sales achievements, and market trends to senior management.
Foster a positive and high-performance work environment that encourages teamwork, professional growth, and customer-centricity.
Stay updated on market trends, competitor activities, and new product developments to maintain a competitive edge.

Job Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Banking, or a related field.
Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in personal banking or retail banking, with at least 1 to 3years in a team leadership or supervisory role.
Proven track record of consistently achieving and exceeding sales targets in a banking environment.
Strong understanding of a wide range of banking products and services, including deposits, loans, investments, and insurance.
Excellent leadership, coaching, and team development skills.
Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and negotiation abilities.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Knowledge of local banking regulations and compliance requirements in Malaysia.
Relevant professional certifications (e.g., FIMM, PCE, CEILI) are a distinct advantage.
