What you'll do

Customer Due Diligence — Onboarding (New Customers)

Perform KYC/KYB reviews to support new customer onboarding in line with internal policies and timelines.
Conduct EDD reviews on higher-risk customers, including review of Proof of Address, Source of Funds, and Source of Wealth.
Execute name screening to identify potential ML/TF, sanctions, PEP, and adverse media risks, and recommend risk mitigation measures or escalation where required.

Ongoing Due Diligence / Periodic Reviews (Existing Customers)

Support ongoing due diligence activities, including reviewing updated customer information, monitoring triggers, and ensuring customer risk profiles remain accurate.
Perform event-driven reviews where changes or alerts require re-assessment of customer risk.

Existing Customer Monitoring

- Conduct screening of existing customers and document outcomes and next steps.
- Perform on-chain and off-chain reviews where applicable, including analysis of transactional behavior and supporting information to assess risk.

Travel Rule Operations

Perform Travel Rule name screening, inquiries to counterparty exchanges and related checks required for on-chain transfers.

Suspicious Activity Reporting Support

Prepare SAR/STR drafts and compile supporting evidence and narratives for escalation and filing decisions.

Core Expectations

Maintain accurate, complete records of investigations, decisions, and supporting evidence.
Ensure quality, accuracy, and timeliness of each case and meet productivity targets.
Manage volume spikes by prioritizing work effectively to meet business timelines.
Respond promptly to queries from EU Compliance, Business and Support teams regarding investigations, customer risk, and mitigation actions.

What you'll need

Bachelor's degree in any discipline.
1–2 years of experience in AML/CFT operations (CDD/KYC/KYB, sanctions/PEP screening, EDD, on-chain and off-chain transaction investigations) within a financial institution, fintech/crypto exchange, or outsourced/shared service center.
Strong attention to detail with solid research and investigative skills; able to document clear case rationales and maintain accurate records.
Familiarity with EU-style AML expectations (risk-based approach, sanctions/PEP/adverse media screening, ongoing due diligence, enhanced due diligence); exposure to Transfer of Funds Regulation (Travel Rule) in EU is a plus.
Ability to manage high volumes, meet SLAs/productivity targets, and prioritize effectively during spikes.
Strong stakeholder management skills; able to communicate clearly with EU Compliance, Business and Support teams.
Able to work independently and collaboratively in a global team setup.
Willing to work on a roster basis (5 working days per week; shifts/weekends/public holidays if required).
Proficient in English (written and spoken). Mandarin is a plus / required depending on stakeholder.
Proficient in MS Office (Excel/Word/PowerPoint); experience with screening/case tools (e.g., World-Check, Chainalysis, case management systems) is an advantage.
