Our client, a renowned Our client, a leading global institutional investment firm, has an opportunity for an experienced Commodities Portfolio Manager.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manage a discretionary commodities portfolio across energy, base metals, precious metals and agriculture
Generate alpha through active management of commodity exposures across broad commodity indices and individual markets
Translate macroeconomic and fundamental views into appropriately sized and hedged commodity positions
Manage exposure to broad commodity benchmarks and their respective sub-indices
Identify and execute opportunities across outright, relative-value, spread, curve and volatility strategies
Utilise derivatives including futures, swaps and options to express investment views and manage portfolio risk.

REQUIREMENTS:

Approximately 5–10 years of commodities trading and/or portfolio management experience
Demonstrated track record managing or trading a discretionary commodities portfolio with P&L responsibility
Strong cross-commodity experience across energy, metals and agriculture
Broad commodities exposure is preferred over deep specialisation within only one commodity or market.
