Job Description

SLB is currently looking for IT Interns to work as Global Service Desk Analysts in their Global Business Services office in Petaling Jaya. As a Global Service Desk Intern, you will be expected to provide first/second level technical and administrative support for issues related to Laptops and associated hardware/software, IP Telephony, Connectivity, Security, Servers, and Real-time operations.

The work timings will be in 9 hour shifts covering 9 AM until midnight. The Work Week is 5 days per week with a 2-day weekend that will rotate between Fri-Sat and Sat-Sun.

Roles And Responsibilities

Provides first line investigation and diagnosis for incidents
Resolves and closes incidents/service requests as per help desk procedures & allocated timelines
Escalates unresolved incidents/service requests within agreed timescales
Logs relevant incident/service request details per help desk procedures
Communicates with client regarding incident progress
Ensures tickets are up to date at all times until issues are resolved
Completes assigned IT training roadmap
Complies with QHSE and IT policies including continuous improvement initiatives
Liaises with clients, other SLB IT support groups and 3rd party providers when necessary

Qualification And Experience

Currently undertaking Bachelor of Information System, Computer Science, Information System or Computer Engineering.
Proficiency in additional languages such as Mandarin, Arabic, or French is a plus.
Fluent in English, reading, writing, speaking.
Good interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to work on shifts, and on public holidays.

Working Arrangements & Hour

Following the BlueFlex policy.
Covering three shifts in KL: 9 AM to 6 PM, 12 PM to 9 PM, and 3 PM to 12 AM. Usually for the interns, they are required to work starting from 12 PM to 9 PM.
Arabic-speaking intern needs to start working on Sunday to Thursday.
