Job Purpose

Responsible for managing the design and layout of retail spaces within the mall, ensuring within the mall to ensure consistency with the mall's branding alignment with the malls and operational standards. This role involves close collaboration with retailers, architects, and contractors, and requires strong expertise in retail design, and attention to detail.

Main Accountabilities

Design Development & Implementation
Develop and implement design guidelines for retail spaces within the mall, to ensure consistency with the mall's branding and operational standards. Review and approve design proposals submitted by retailers and contractors.

Project Coordination & Delivery
Coordinate with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and cost-effective project completion. Oversee the fit-out process and ensure all works comply with safety and accessibility standards.

Retailer Engagement & Support
Build and maintain strong relationships with retailers to understand their design needs and preferences. Collaborate with retailers to create store layouts that enhance customer experience and maximize sales.

Material & Aesthetic Oversight
Evaluate and select materials, furnishings, and finishes for retail spaces.

Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with marketing and operations teams to ensure cohesive branding and a seamless customer experience throughout the mall

Innovation & Industry Trends
Stay updated on retail design trends and incorporate best practices into design strategies. Facilitate the adoption of new
technologies and innovations to enhance asset value.

Requirements

1. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in interior design, Architecture, or a related field.
2. Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in retail design or a similar role.
3. Technical/ Functional Skills: Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.
6. Knowledge of building codes and regulations.
7. Creative and detail oriented with a strong sense of aesthetics
