We are currently seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant Accountant to join our team in Kuala Lumpur. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a growing organization supporting our Australian financial operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and submit claims to clients by coordinating with project managers.
- Review financial transactions, audit documents, and reconcile discrepancies.
- Generate monthly financial reports, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, internal management reports, and cashflow statements.
- Compile and analyze account information to create ad-hoc financial reports that assist project managers in evaluating project performance.
- Manage the general ledger, oversee monthly balance sheet, banking, and inter-company reconciliations.
- Post monthly accrual journals and process payroll journals (weekly, fortnightly, and monthly).
- Support process improvement and system enhancement initiatives.
- Assist in the preparation of year-end statutory accounts.
What We're Looking For:
- Minimum 2 years experience in an Assistant Accountant or similar role.
- Relevant accounting or bookkeeping qualifications.
- Proficiency in Xero and Procore is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).
- Intermediate proficiency in Excel.
