Job Summary: -
Accounting Assistants support the Accounting Department by performing clerical tasks, including processing, and recording transactions, preparing reports and budgets, fielding communications with clients and vendors, fact-checking, filing, and other duties, as needed.
Responsibilities
- Provide accounting and clerical support to the accounting department
- Type accurately, prepare and maintain accounting documents and records
- Prepare bank deposits, general ledger postings and statements
- Reconcile accounts in a timely manner
- Daily enter key data of financial transactions in database
- Provide assistance and support to company personnel
- Research, track and restore accounting or documentation problems and discrepancies
- Inform management and compile reports/summaries on activity areas
- Function in accordance with established standards, procedures, and applicable laws
- Constantly update job knowledge.
Requirements:
- Candidate must possess at least STPM/Professional Certificate (LCCI-CAT), Diploma in Finance/Accountancy/Banking or equivalent.
- Required Skill(s): MS Office, MS Excel, SQL accounting software and equivalent.
- Preferred language(s): Bahasa Malaysia, English.
- At least 1 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
- Experienced candidates who can handle full sets of accounts is an added advantage.
