Job Description

What You'll Be Doing

Account

  • Invoice Verification: Meticulously verify supplier invoices to maintain financial accuracy.
  • Financial Records Maintenance: Update and manage depreciation, accruals, prepayments, and deposits to ensure up-to-date financial records.
  • Asset Management: Maintain and update fixed asset records, contributing to effective asset tracking.
  • Financial Reconciliation: Perform regular reconciliation of receivables and payables to ensure the accuracy and completeness of records.
  • Manage accounts: Handle full set of accounts, including month-end closing and financial reporting, ensuring deadlines are met with minimal supervision.
  • Tax Compliance: Assist in the preparation and submission of SST, ensuring adherence to tax regulations.
  • Record Keeping: Assist in filing both hardcopy and softcopy documents, contributing to an organized financial system. Any other tasks as and when assigned by superior from time to time.

Finance

  • Operation Tasks: Perform daily accounts operation tasks, including banking and finance
  • Payment Processing: Manage payment procedures, maintaining a smooth cash flow for the organization.
  • Expense Management: Verify monthly staff claims, ensuring compliance with company policies.
  • Financial Reconciliation: Prepare monthly bank reconciliations, maintaining accurate financial records.
  • Record Keeping: Assist in filing both hardcopy and softcopy documents, contributing to an organized financial system. Any other tasks as and when assigned by superior from time to time.

What We're Looking For

  • Educational Background: Degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent. Professional qualifications like LCCI, ACCA, or CIMA are welcomed but not mandatory.
  • Work Experience: Ideally, 1-3 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance. Fresh graduates are also encouraged to apply.
  • Technical Proficiency: Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications is essential. Knowledge of SQL accounting system is an advantage.
  • Self-Motivated Team Player: A results-oriented individual who can work independently while contributing positively to the team dynamic.
  • Problem Solver: Detail-oriented and organized, with a knack for finding innovative solutions to challenges.
  • Proficient in Chinese, English and Bahasa Melayu to effectively communicate with our diverse client and supplier base (both written and spoken) Candidates who excel in Mandarin will be at an advantage.
