Account Officer

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare full sets of accounts for medium and large-sized companies.
• Prepare supporting schedules and documentation for audit and tax purposes.
• Review management accounts and supporting schedules to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Prepare Sales and Service Tax (SST) returns based on supporting documents provided by clients.
• Assist with outsourced payment processing, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
• Monitor the work progress of Accounts Assistants and provide guidance and support where necessary.
• Prepare client cover letters highlighting key matters requiring clients attention.
• Perform general accounting administration, including reviewing incoming and outgoing document listings and maintaining proper records.
• Ensure accounting assignments are completed accurately and within established deadlines.

Key Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related field.
• Professional Certificate of ACCA and CPA are an added advantage.
• Minimum two (2) years of relevant working experience in accounting and/or finance, preferably within an accounting firm or professional services environment.
• Proficient in accounting systems such as AUTOCOUNT/ SQL / EMAS and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
• Good command of written and spoken English.
• Ability to converse in Mandarin will be an added advantage.
