What your typical day will look like:

As an Accounts Payable Executive / Senior Executive, you will play an important role in managing the day-to-day Accounts Payable operations, ensuring invoices and payments are processed accurately, on time, and in line with company policies and agreed service levels. You will work closely with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and finance teams to ensure smooth and efficient payment processes.

Your day-to-day work will involve reviewing and processing invoices, performing account reconciliations, resolving payment and vendor queries, and supporting month-end closing activities. You will also help identify and resolve process gaps, maintain accurate financial records, and ensure AP activities are completed in accordance with finance policies and controls.

Core responsibilities include:

  • Manage end-to-end Accounts Payable activities, including invoice processing, payment preparation, vendor account maintenance, and ensuring transactions are accurately recorded within agreed timelines.
  • Review invoices and supporting documentation, ensuring appropriate approvals, coding, and compliance with company policies before processing payments.
  • Perform regular vendor account reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and work closely with internal stakeholders and suppliers to resolve invoice, payment, and account-related queries.
  • Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities, including AP reconciliations, accruals, reporting, audit preparation, and other financial closing requirements.
  • Identify opportunities to improve AP processes and controls, support finance projects and governance initiatives, and ensure accurate and up-to-date financial records.

A bit about you:

  • Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline, with 3–5 years of relevant experience in Accounts Payable, finance operations, or a similar role.
  • Good understanding of end-to-end Accounts Payable processes, including invoice processing, vendor management, payment processing, reconciliations, and month-end activities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal teams, suppliers, and other external parties to resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and comfortable working with ERP or finance systems; experience with Microsoft Dynamics, media systems such as PIN, or similar platforms would be an advantage.
  • Proactive and organised, with the ability to work independently, take ownership of tasks, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • The ability to read, write, and speak Mandarin would be an added advantage, as the role will work with Chinese-speaking markets and vendors.
