Your Mission here at Pave Bank:
As an Accountant at Pave Bank, you're more than a number-cruncher; you'll be at the heart of our financial ecosystem, ensuring accuracy, compliance and strategic insight in everything we do. With a high degree of agility and a proactive mindset, this role offers the great opportunity to navigate the complexities of fintech and to shape the financial strategies of a growing fintech startup in one of the world's most regulated and innovative industries.
What You'll Do:
- Be the Financial Pillar: Create accurate and timely financial reports (monthly, quarterly, annually, or as and when required) and ensure flawless reconciliation. Your work will shape the backbone of our financial health.
- Strategic Thinker: Analyze complex financial data, identify trends, and turn numbers into actionable strategies that drive business decisions.
- Regulatory Champion: Prepare statutory filings/ad hoc reports and submit to National Bank of Georgia and other regulators as required, ensuring we meet every requirement with precision and timeliness.
- Audit Ace: Lead annual and interim audits, championing transparency and compliance.
- Collaborative Innovator: Be a Business Partner across teams such as Tech, Product, Treasury and beyond to build a robust financial framework that supports our growth.
- Policy Guardian: Keep us aligned with company policies and government regulations, ensuring every transaction is as clean as it is compliant.
To be Successful:
- A degree in Finance, Accounting or related professional qualification, showcasing your expertise (CA, ACCA, etc).
- Strong knowledge in International Financial Reporting Standards especially IFRS 9 and financial instruments
- At least 3-4 years of experience in Big 4 Accounting Firms - bonus points for fintech or financial services exposure!
- Advanced Excel skills (including macros and Power Query) and the ability to handle large data sets like a pro.
- The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment without breaking a sweat.
- A sharp eye for detail, paired with an innovative and solution-driven mindset.
- A love for teamwork but the confidence to work independently with tight deadlines and minimum supervision when needed.
