Job Description
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain the project's accounting and financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger and bank reconciliations.
- Prepare monthly financial reports, schedules, and project cost reports for management review.
- Process invoices, payment requests, receipts and other accounting transactions accurately and in a timely manner.
- Perform monthly closing activities and assisting preparing management accounts and financial statements.
- Maintain accurate accounting records and ensure proper documentation of all financial transactions.
- Liaise with project teams, suppliers, subcontractors, auditors and other relevant parties on accounting and payment matters.
- Assist with GST reporting, tax-related matters and other statutory accounting requirements.
- Prepare and maintain payroll-related records and support payroll processing using SAGE Payroll.
- Maintain employee and payroll information in the payroll system and ensure accuracy of salary, allowances, deductions and statutory contributions.
- Utilize the company's ERP system for accounting, purchasing, payment and project-related financial transactions.
- Ensure compliance with company accounting policies, internal controls and Singapore statutory requirements.
- Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned by management.
Job Requirements:
- Diploma or Degree in Accountancy, Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in construction, engineering, infrastructure or large-scale project environments.
- Prior experience in project accounting and cost control will be an advantage.
- Prior working knowledge and hands-on experience with ERP accounting systems is required.
- Prior knowledge and experience using SAGE Payroll software is required.
- Good knowledge of Singapore accounting practices, GST and statutory requirements.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, with good data analysis and reporting skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial and payroll information.
- Good organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to work independently as well as coordinate effectively with project and head-office teams.
- Able to work under deadlines and manage multiple accounting tasks in a project environment.
