Position Summary
The Accounting Analyst performs accounting and financial analysis for Asset-Intensive transactions. This role supports the preparation of management reporting for assigned business unit.
Essential Functions
- Supports monthend financial reporting activities, including preparing selected general ledger uploads, performing routine account reconciliations, updating financial data, and assisting with compiling reports under US GAAP and Statutory requirements.
- Performs monthly administrative tasks such as settlement processing, validating supporting data, supporting treaty compliance checks, and assisting with documentation and recording information in the general ledger.
- Assists in identifying and researching basic variances between actual and expected financial results for assigned transactions and escalates findings as needed.
- Provides support for new deal setup activities, including updating accounting systems and preparing required data under the guidance of senior team members.
- Collaborates with other functional and corporate areas to gather information, ensure data accuracy, and provide timely responses to routine inquiries
- Assists with the preparation and maintenance of reports; supports resolution of financial reporting questions raised by business units or functions.
- Contributes to process improvements by identifying issues and proposing enhancements; shares knowledge with team members when appropriate.
- Supports communication and coordination with other business units, areas, or functions as required.
- Maintains assigned SOX documentation and assists with yearend audit preparation or internal audit requests under supervision.

Licenses and Certifications
- Progress towards relevant professional accreditations or certificates
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) Accounting, Finance or equivalent required
Work Experience
- 2+ Years related work experience in finance/ auditing
