About the Role
We're hiring an Accounting & Finance Manager to build and own the financial backbone of OneCredit as we scale Malaysia's credit ecosystem. You'll be embedded with our Engineering and Operations teams, shaping the finance workflows that power how we serve clients, pay our partners, and keep the business running with precision.
Reporting directly to the CEO, you'll be the first dedicated finance hire and will lay the foundation for the finance function at OneCredit. As we grow, you'll have the opportunity to build and lead the finance team from the ground up.
You will be responsible for ensuring every ringgit is accounted for — from client payments coming in, to commissions going out, to claims being processed. You'll bring structure and rigor to our financial operations while working closely with Engineering to build systems that scale.
What You'll Be Doing
- Oversee the entire finance function: Own budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial planning end-to-end.
- Lead end-to-end financial operations: Own the full cycle of transaction management, including reconciling incoming client payments, calculating and disbursing sales commissions, and managing the claims process from submission to payout with total accuracy and compliance.
- Collaborate with internal teams: Partner with the engineering team to define, improve, and automate finance workflows, reducing manual work and improving accuracy at scale.
- Financial reporting and analysis: Prepare regular financial reports and cash flow forecasts to help leadership make informed decisions.
- Support audit and compliance: Maintain proper documentation and controls to support internal and external audits within a regulated environment.
- Build the finance function: As One Credit scales, you'll hire, mentor, and lead a finance team, establishing processes and standards from day one.
What We're Looking For
- Experience: 5+ years in finance, accounting, or financial operations (ideally in Fintech, Tech, or Financial Services).
- Qualifications: Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CPA, MICPA, or equivalent).
- Operational Mindset: You understand how financial processes connect to business operations and actively look for ways to improve them.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong grasp of accounting principles and financial reporting standards (MFRS/IFRS).
- Rigor: Detail-oriented with zero tolerance for errors in reconciliation and reporting.
- Leadership: Experience or readiness to build and lead a team; you're excited about shaping the function from scratch.
